On the first Wednesday of August every year there is a race in North Berwick from the harbour to the top of the Law and back. Over 100 contestants take part from quite young to quite old. There is a prize for the fastest man and another for the fastest woman, but all who complete the race get a medal. In 2007 the weather was excellent. As Wednesday is the North Berwick pipe band practice day, their pipes make a nice musical background to a fun evening.
