On Saturday 4th May 2013, on the corner of the yacht club building in North Berwickharbour, a plaque honouring Fred Marr was unveiled by Sir Hew Dalrymple in front of a large crowd of well-wishers. Fred was a much loved and respected harbour master for many years, and also the owner and operator of Sula II, a boat which has carried many folk round the Bass Rock. Pat Macauley, Fred's daughter, introduced the ceremony and welcomed guests at her home afterwards.
