Luke Chance has one claim to fame: he's real quick on the draw. Trying to outrun a reputation he doesn't want, he ends up in Rattlesnake Springs - where he meets the beautiful Teddy Austin. Teddy hires him to break horses on her father's ranch, but pretty soon Luke is locking horns with the Shadow Hills foreman, Thad McClory. As if that wasn't enough, the Austins are also having trouble with their neighbors. Though he doesn't want to get involved, it seems Luke can't help but do so.
